Fitzgerald serves on the Port Authority\u2019s Audit committee and chairs the Pension and Benefits Committee. He joined the Port Commission in 2013.<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p>\u201cClyde Fitzgerald is an excellent Commissioner who works for the best interest of the Port of Houston and the Port of Houston Authority,\u201d stated Port Commission Chairman Janiece Longoria. \u201cI am thrilled to have his continued leadership and support on the Commission.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Fitzgerald is a veteran of the Port of Houston and the International Longshoremen\u2019s Association (ILA), and he worked with his father on the docks of the Houston Ship Channel at a young age.
